Our story

I'm so glad you're here.

I'm Neila Wolff, a mother, wife, and child therapist. I built Wolff Pack because what I learned about California leave the hard way shouldn't stay a secret.

Let's rewind.

Back in 2020, at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, I was working as a social worker at a large Los Angeles County agency. The need in our community was huge. Helping people navigate state benefits became my top priority, and seeing clients miss out on months of assistance they were eligible for absolutely drove me nuts. I became obsessed (in a good way) with understanding exactly what the state offers and how to make sure people actually receive it.

Fast-forward to 2023. I was pregnant with my son and had just started at a new company. Their parental leave policy? A wall of acronyms, percentages, and jargon that made my head spin. So I did what I always do, I dove deep. I researched, asked questions, and learned everything I could about maternity leave rights in California.

The result?

What I Was Entitled To vs. What My Employer Policy Said

4 Months
What my employer plan said
7 Months
What I was entitled to and actually took
3 Months
The additional months with my baby, simply by understanding the system
I kept my benefits and my job protection. It was all available through California's programs, but I had to advocate for myself and spend hours figuring it out. That's what this guide is for. Your situation will look different than mine, but the same principle applies: the more you understand the system, the more of your leave you can actually use, and the more precious time you have with your new born.

I've made this simple for you. Take a short questionnaire and get a clear, straightforward document explaining exactly what you're entitled to. no jargon, no alphabet soup, just the facts made easy.

Welcome to the Wolff Pack.
From one parent to another,
we've got this, together.
